Wow, I can’t believe it has been so long since I have made a post to my site. Days are flying by quickly. Here are some things I have been doing.
We have a friend having twin boys this month. Baby #1 quilt is below. I used the “Extension” pattern by Anne Bright on this. It works well with this type of strip piecing. Baby #2 is having the binding sewn on now, and I hope to have it finished and posted soon.
I have a friend at work that is expecting a baby, which is a miracle. She is a cancer survivor and did not think she would be able to get pregnant. But she is doing well and is having a baby boy. She is decorating his room with a robot theme, and I found robot fabric and did a simple quilt. It is waiting for its binding also. I took pictures each step of this quilt, and intend to add a page for free patterns, and start with the easy robot quilt.
I have quilted a medium size quilt using a charm pack that was given to me and some additional fabrics for borders. It will be a good lap quilt. And it is also waiting for its binding. I used the newer pattern called Masterpiece by Anne Bright and it looks good, if I do say so myself. Here’s a picture of it on the machine.
I spent two days in Springfield last week, at Merrily We Quilt Along, taking a class to learn the new software upgrade for my Statler. I really like this upgrade, loaded it on my machine last week, and look forward to more quilting.
I am also working on computerized custom quilting, and hope to be able to offer that service soon.
And here is a picture of the quilt I quilted for my guild’s Quilt of Honor project. I used Anne Bright’s “Stars at Sea” pattern.
For the first time in years, I have had time to get out some of my fall quilts and put out around the house.
And now we know why it has been so long since I posted. But more to come soon!
